19th Century Steel Eraser or Dried Ink Remover Knife
Early 19th Century steel eraser or dried ink remover knife. Both edges of blade are sharpened one edge has chips. The tang is stamped "J. Rodgers & Sons, 6 Norfolk St. Sheffield" on one side; and backside is marked with a 6-pointed star & Maltese cross, which denoted manufacturing period of 1764 to 1830. The knife has a smooth bone handle. <br>Parchment and old-style paper was less absorbent than modern paper, so mistakes made in ink were allowed to dry, then scraped-off surface of document. The knife is approx. 6-1/2 inches long. Great go with for your vintage pen collection.

Vintage Johnson & Johnson Tyro-thri-cin Pad / Antiseptic Band-Aid tin. Originally held 36 Assorted Adhesive Bandages. Haven't come up with a date yet 1940's - 50's era I believe. Nice condition.
