Ebay strikes again

Postby countryjoe on Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:07 pm

Maybe i'm crazy (it has been mentioned) but now it is .40 + 1.31 fvf = 1.71 to start an item at 9.99 and sell for $25.00

With the new improved lower starting fee and new FVF it looks like
.35 + 2.18 = 2.53 for the same item. cost is .82 more. Is it me???

Oh, gallery picture will now be free.

Oh yes and now
"Buyers will only be able to receive positive Feedback" which means they are now telling you what feedback to leave.

See ya, Country Joe

Country Joe,

No, it's not you. The only fee reduction was up front. eBay raised the FVF to compensate and then some.

Free gallery pictures was probably going to happen, as it seems that it was a part of the new Best Match feature / software.

When the 'Feedback policy' changes and sellers will not be able to leave neg/neutral FB for buyers, that may prove to be a nightmare for many.

And who knows what will happen to the Collectibles category, when Best Match takes effect.

Should be an interesting ride!
