Please Help? Early Embossed Stamp Identification? 1860s

Postby smokelessjoe on Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:41 pm

I am trying to do some research on some documents I have. I have a diagram of an early baseball field and the rules and regulations. I am fairly certain that the actual drawings date from the early 1860s. On both sheets of paper, there is an embossed stamp of the manufacture (I guess). It reads "Congress E. Smith". Any help with info on this, would be greatly appreciated!
