Yard Sales, Yard Sales &

Yard sales, lots of sales around today, just kept following signs. Bought a bunch of stuff nothing outstanding but stuff none the less. Mostly flea market stuff and a few things for the house including a medium size Lazy-Boy reclining chair for the living room. Truck loaded and ready for the flea market in the morning.

Hi Joe,

Here in England we have a similar thing, car boot sales. It' s a great way of getting rid of larger bulky items that will not sell online although I tend to find the small, cheap items sell just as well. Similar to you, I have the car loaded up for a boot sale this morning.

I have also posted on my blog how last week's sale made me £377 in 3 hours which is one of the best I've done. But the boot sale is largely dependent on the weather so, with a grey sky like we have this morning, it's a bit of a gamble!

Hi Richard,
First time I got around to looking at your blog CreditCrunchCollector, looks good. Need to find some more time to read through it a bit.

Hi Joe: The Credit Crunch Collector site is interesting but you need time to read all that is there. I read some of it and it is interesting what you can get from other dealers in this business and what you can learn. When I have some more time I will go back and read all of it if I have the time. Now I have to start packing again and see what I can just get rid of and what I want to go with me. Oh well such is life I said when I married Mack that I would not move again well this is the second time I will be moving since he is gone. Maybe this time will be the last hopefully. Marge

Hi guys,

Thanks for the positive comments about my blog.

I have tidied it up over the last couple of weeks to make it easier to digest and also stripped it of many of the ads so hopefully you will see an improvement when you next visit.

I try to put as much info on as I can but, as you will appreciate, the business can take up a lot of time off-line and it's hard to find the time to write new stuff up. And I know there's a lot to read here but I just don't get the chance to go through it. But it's amazing what you can learn from others on forums such as this.

I've been in the business around 25 years yet I feel it's really moved forward in a big way over the last couple of years, ironically since the economic downturn.

I will be making a big effort to read more on here and hopefully post up some more stuff.

Regards,

Richard
